LC104 - Implementing a New Program of Study

Career and technical education (CTE) leaders must make informed decisions when developing new programs of study that respond to workforce needs while providing equitable opportunities for learners. This course examines the full program development process, from assessing workforce demand and institutional capacity to designing curriculum, launching programs and evaluating long-term effectiveness.

Using a data center operations case study, participants will explore how labor market information, student demand, partnerships, facilities, staffing, communication strategies and continuous improvement practices influence program success. Through practical planning activities and real-world examples, participants will gain tools and strategies to develop, implement and sustain high-quality CTE programs that align with workforce and learner needs.
